1. Tuesday night I went to running club practice like usual. I wore my newest Brooks Ghost 3 shoes and felt fine although my overall pace for the 8 miles was a bit fast. Wednesday morning I was up at 5am for an easy run and wore my old Asics 2150s. And I had knee pain. UGGHH. There are a lot of reasons that I could be feeling pain, but I am hoping it is just the shoes. These babies have 603 miles on them and I have been using them on and off since July 2010. It is time for them to enter permanent retirement.
2. Saturday morning I am running another 5k. Quite possibly my last 5k and last race of 2011. I haven't decided if I will actually race this race yet. I just hope that my registration is all in order because last week I got a letter in the mail saying they had lost my registration but had my check. I think I know what happened - I registered under my married name with my married address, but my checks still say my maiden name with my maiden address. It's like I have two identities! Hopefully everything is straightened out now.
3. Daylight savings time is this weekend! I can't wait for at least a few weeks of lighter mornings. Currently the sun is rising on my way to work at. I maybe slightly obsessed with colorful sunrises/sunsets.
Good luck to everyone racing NYCM this weekend! Happy Thursday!

DANG! 600 miles is a lot of miles! Have fun with your 5k.
my brain cannot wrap itself around it being day light savings time!!
yes those shoes have way too many miles! i love new shoes, so i may reitre mine too early
I only get 200 miles out of my shoes. Retire those puppies ASAP!!! I love that we get more light in the morning, too, but I am always surprised at how that extra light is gone within like 3-4 weeks.
That is a lot of miles! I think mine would definitely be worn out by then. They usually last me anywhere from 400 - 500 miles.
I am torn on daylight savings time. Excited to have light in the morning, not excited it's going to be pitch black when I leave work now :(
Very excited about daylight savings, especially with a Sunday morning race! :)
Good luck at the 5K, and I hope your knee is okay!
Good luck at the 5K! Actually I was planning on running this race. But by the time I go around to signing up for it, I realized that I missed the shirt deadline for a day. So I left it, thinking that I'd think about it. Now, it doesn't seem like I'd be able to do it. :( How unfortunate, I would have loved to say hi afterwards.
I'm so ready for it to be light in the morning... but not dark at 5pm :(
Good luck at the 5k! And retire those shoes. :)
