Good Samaritan

Last night I got home from work/the gym and saw a letter on the counter for me.  I usually don't get any mail so I was perplexed.  There was no return address either.  I opened the envelope and found a bunch of papers with a note:
Note says: "Found this in my library book - "

I WAS SHOCKED!  I must have left a stash of papers in a book and returned it to the library.  The contents of the papers included:

one of my long list (see picture below), gym membership receipt, grocery store and gas receipts, junk mail, and a bank slip (account balance and partial account number).  I was overwhelmed with what could have happened if these papers had ended up in the wrong hands.  I am just so thankful that this anonymous person went these things back to me.

It just makes me realize that there are so many good people in this world!

I took today off from working out because my muscles are sore and tired.  After yesterdays 6 mile interval run I went back to the gym for spin class after work!

We are supposed to get a blizzard tomorrow!!!  Guess Ill be on the treadmill in the morning!  Happy Wednesday!!

I lost my RoadID last summer, someone found it and mailed it to me. They didn't include a return address so I never was able to thank them. Isn't it a great feeling when someone does a selfless act that makes you realize the good in people?

If you think there is no good in anybody, you haven't met everybody!

Love the act of kindness and happy to hear it happened to you :)

Wow, awesome that you got your info back!

I think I'm prepping for a blizzard or something blizzard-like. Ugh, too much snow this year.

So good to hear about good people :-) Last week I accidentally left my phone on a train. Someone found it and called my boyfriend (on my myFaves) and he was the nicest guy ever about it. He gave me his address and was like 45 minutes away, and even offered to meet me somewhere closer! Refused any type of payment. I couldn't believe it. I mailed him a thank you letter.

My daughter recently lost a wallet in DC and it was returned through a lot of effort on their part. Yeah for good people.

That was so nice of a stranger to do that.

I had something similar to happen. I got my hair done for a wedding once & forgot my check. The next week I gave it to my cousin but I didn't know the name of the hair dresser, so I left it blank (dumb idea). Well, she accidentally lost it. I figured someone would find it, fill in their name, and cash it. Nope. Someone actually mailed it to me & said they found it in a parking lot. Shocking that someone did that!

I can't get over the snow, we have a snow day so we're all still in our pj's!

What happy reminder of the kindness of strangers. I often leave things in my books. I enjoy going back years later and seeing what I left.

Seeing something like this always gives me a little hope about our world! :)
