First off - THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENTS! Saturday was a rough night for me but I got through it. Sunday I woke up and went for an easy 3 miler and felt much better.
Yes it is sad that I was not able to run the relay but guess what? I have talent to compete in 7 events which no other girl on my team has the ability to do!
Today we have a dual meet and I am competing in hurdles, high jump and running the lead off leg of the 4x400m relay. I realize that running the relay is more of a training exercise for me so that I can run the 800m faster. Everything seems to have clicked for me that I am a multi event athlete and I have a chance of a lifetime which I NEED to take advantage of!
Yesterday I looked up the qualifying standards for the regional meet and I realized that I WAS TOTALLY off on my thinking.
Currently I have 3346 points for 7 events
To qualify for the regional meet I need 3400 points (previously I thought there was no way I could qualify because I was looking at the national standards!)
I have a new goal - I WANT to go to that regional meet!
The final countdown has begun - 4 days until I compete! I am filled with nervous excitement and hoping that I can preform to my full potential! I am thankful that this time I can compete (compared to what happened for Indoor and my hip flexor)!

Wow! Great job, girl! Way to stay positive.
GREAT JOB GIRL!!!
You can do it && i'm glad you realized how freaking awesome you are participating in 7 events! Your a running star! :)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Glad you are feeling better about things. Now, go out there have fun and get as many points as you can!
Glad it has turned around for ya! Yay for new goals! Good luck kicking butts and taking points to qualify for regionals.
i am so glad you feel a little better about everything. i just read your last post and that sounds really just TOUGH situation. i hate sitting out of things and i think you are handling the whole MANAGEMENT aspect of running track really well. you are competing in a crazy amount of events and doing really well!!! i can't believe you couldn't finish the shot put! there's no way your coach could work that out for you?
and i think running will always help :) getting out and just sweating it out OFF of the track. removing yourself from it all for a little bit, especially where Drama is concerned. GOOD LUCK! hang in there! be yourself :) (i'm thinking of that in the Genie voice from aladdin when he turns into a bee-- beeeeeee yourselfff!) hehehe.
Amazing what a new day brings. Good luck with your goals!
Glad you are feeling better about everything and you are going to kick butt. Not everyone can do 7 events. you are a BEAST ha ha. :)
I just got caught up on your posts and wanted to say that you really didn't ever sound that bitter. But I'm glad you're feeling better. :) You are obviously a very talented athlete and I'm so impressed by your 3346 points. Even though your college athletic career may be ending soon and there's a certain sadness to that, it's going to be SO cool seeing what you do in your 15k and further down the road...I bet you'll really amaze us!
YAY so glad you are feeling better!!!! you ARE totally awesome, being the multi event athlete, you are going to do amazing this weekend!
So it sounds like you may have a new niche in track & field. You can totally do it, girl!
