Weekend Runs!

This past weekend I got out for two runs - One Saturday and another Sunday! This is the first time since the injury that I have done back to back runs. Usually I take a day off between to rest up. I felt pretty good though and enjoyed being outside in the nice fall weather! The leaves are so vibrant this year!

Yesterday morning I went to a new pool. The one I have been going to since the summer is a bit far for me and also costs money. This new one is in my town and is free to residents. My dad wanted to check it out too so I picked him up and we headed over. When we walked into the pool area there were no lane lines in the pool! It was ridiculous swimming there because it was so wavy! I don't know what to do now - its close by and free, but without lane lines its just a disaster! My dad is addicted to the swimming though - He went again this morning. He is rehabbing from shoulder surgery so this is really perfect! At least one of us is going to get to swim!

Hope everyone is having a good week! Its almost 60 degrees here and I am headed out for a run! Happy Tuesday!

P.S. Check out Tall Mom's great giveaway HERE! Its pretty awesome!

I'm so jealous of the temperature. Fortunately, we've been staying below 90 the last few days and the mornings have been fairly pleasant.

The trees are amazing this year but due to all the rain we've been having most of the leaves are already on the ground :( Great job running over the weekend!

Congrats on getting back on the roads. Swimming in non-lane pools must be such a hassle...maybe leave it as an option for non-rush hour times...

Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!

Congrats on getting the runs done! Even if you don't use the free pool near you regularly, it is still an option if you need it. It's good to have a backup!

well that stinks about the pool. i'm not a fan of swimming laps, but throw in waves, and I'm out for sure!

closer and free?! and your dad is going?!?! man.. hard to beat that. you've got a w/o buddy and some convenience factors. guess you're going to have to weigh those pros and cons. lol.

yay for back to back runs! perfect weather, too :)

and i'm seriously impressed with your dad. rehabbing and swimming... i guess it runs in the family...

No lanes?! That's too bad.... I'd be tempted by thefree pool, but not if you can't get a good workout.

Congrats on the back to back runs!

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog today.

After my 1/2, I am hoping to add some swimming into my exercise regimen. It's such a good work out! But yah, I would def need lanes!!

J - it's great to hear that you are back and running again! I'm sure that your patience will pay off big time.

Those 800's - I know I can do them. Heck I was knocking them off a few months ago. But my marathon training had me concentrating on different things and the interval work with the club kind of got put aside. I've made it out tonight again, so I think I'll be doing all the intervals pretty soon. I'm still a little physically tired from the marathon, but I'm feeling a little better every day.

Check out my blog tomorrow - I'll have some sunset pictures up. Typical fall day in Southern California....
