Monday Blahs

After the Thursday and Friday workouts, I took Saturday off to rest my legs. I wasn't that sore form all the running but I did notice a huge spike in my appetite on Thursday and Friday nights! Friday I came home after work and ate oatmeal and some other snacks and then an hour later headed to Wendy's with Brian for a cheeseburger, fries and a frosty! We then proceeded to the mall to walk off our fat filled dinner.

The rest of the weekend was pretty low key. Sunday of course was the Super Bowl where I ate way too much food again! Did anyone else hear the rumor that if the Saints won, Reggie Bush was going to propose to Kim Kardashian?? Apparently that was a lie!

Even though I was up a little bit later than usual due to the Super Bowl last night, I still dragged myself out of bed this morning and went to the gym. I needed to work off all that food I ate last night! My legs felt decent on the treadmill this morning so I pumped out 4.5 miles and then headed to work. Now its mid afternoon and I feel ready for a nap! Not sure I will be able to pull of 5 days in a row of morning workouts like I did last week!

The work day is almost over though and I am off to yoga soon! Hope everyone is having a good Monday!!

I'm aiming for 2 morning workouts this week. :)

Sounds like a fun weekend with lots of yummy eats. I could SO go for a Frosty right now, even though it's freezing out.

i am soooooooo ready for a nap. way to get up this AM! i was sooo tired. i have found tho that i can't snooze. it's funny, i will hit snooze and then get back in bed (i have to get out of bed to turn off the alarm= genius). and i will wake up more and more as i lay there waiting for it to go off again. ELLIOT however can sleep THROUGH the alarm. hahaha. i have no idea how.

I was proud of myself for getting up for the gym today too since I stayed out to watch the game! But, as always, I am so glad I did!

You can do it! Morning workouts are the best! Well, so are evening ones but you have to wait all day for them. ;-)

Sending you "wake up early" vibes. The Super Bowl was quite an exciting game. Definitely worth staying up past bedtime IMHO.

Good job for getting up and going to the gym!!!

And don't over stress about the food. Just get back to eating right.

I just shoveled 3 feet of snow that the plow left in front of my driveway... only took 4 hours.

Enjoy the yoga. Sadly my class was short-circuited mid downdog by a call from Thing 1's school.

I also had the Monday blahs. Plus it's snowing which makes me want to curl up on the couch & read! But I resisted the urge to skip my workout & went to the gym... Kind of impressive as I am so convincing when I try to talk myself out of things!!

Did anyone get any text messages regarding Reggie Bush and his shoe raising thing for Haiti? I did... and then I got a text message yesterday congratulating him and his team on the win... weird.

I also ate a lot this weekend... parties all around!
