Three Things Thursday

1. The last few days since we have been pounded with snow, Mom and Dad have let me park my car in the garage. This morning I walked out to the garage and typed in the code to open the door. Nothing happened. I typed in the code to the other door. Nothing happened. It was 10F/-13C (feels like 1F/-17C!) so I think the electronics in the keypad were too cold to work! I had to take my mom's car instead.

2. Wednesday run = 0.75 miles. My knee is a little tight today but nothing that a little ibuprofen can't fix! I am afraid to increase my mileage any faster than quarter miles. Does anyone follow the 10% rule? (10% of 0.75 miles is 0.075 - that may be a little too slow of an increase!)

3. 16 Days until Christmas!!!! I better get on my Christmas shopping! Have you finished your Christmas shopping???

Happy Thursday!!

Now that is cold! I've never experienced anything like that. I don't follow the 10% rule. I just increase to what more or less feels right to me. I haven't done any shopping but I did hand my list to everyone important.

10 percent is smart! Keep it up, regardless.

christmas is coming so quickly!!!!!!! i ordered a lot of things online so i'm just waiting for them to get here :)

WOW that is so crazy about the garage!!!!!!!!! lucky you could take your mom's car. i always want a garage so i don't have to deal with the snow + ice on the car but who would have thought there would be a potential drawback, lol.

Too cold for the garage door to open?? That is crazy. I think it is better to not increase enough than to increase too much!!! I need to do ALL of my Christmas shopping oops.

P.S. You are so right...nothing better than the high after a speed workout.

This morning when I walked outside it was so cold the wind was knocked out of me when I took a breath. Ugh. Please remind me why I moved North again?!?!

I've been thinking about you as I know upstate NY has been hit hard by snow! Yikes! We have snow here in MN but not as much (I don't think?). But the temps are SO cold. It was -6 w/ the windchill Tuesday and on Sunday they are saying it will be -25 w/ the windchill. Holy. Moley. I am not ready for this!

I am maybe 3/4 done w/ my Christmas shopping? But I haven't wrapped any gifts!

Brr!

I definitely don't follow the 10% rule when the mileage is so low. I do when it gets higher though. I hope your knee starts to feel better :)

We still have some gifts to buy!

I got lucky - we aren't doing presents this year. So my shopping is only for ME! Woohoo!!

The poor garage. Too cold to function - too bad that didn't mean you could just stay home with pay!

Yay for big feet:) Thanks for still being my friend ha!! I am wearing Mazuno Waveriders...love:) My running coach actually just showed me this way to tie my shoes...something about it is good for my arch but I don't know if it is good for everyone. 3 musketeers are amazing!
