Where is Spring?

Just when I thought that winter was over, we get MORE snow!  On Wednesday we got almost 5 inches of snow in 12 hours!  My legs were pretty tired from Tuesday's mile repeats workout with the running club and I decided to take  complete rest day.

My shoveled path to the garage
The sun just peaking up over the horizon
Thursday I decided to go to running club again because I had finally convinced a friend to come out and run with the group.  It was great to have her and we had a pretty awesome workout!

warm up
1x800m @ 15k pace (3:46)
4x1200m @ 15k pace w/ surge of 400m in the middle w/ 3 min recovery (5:34, 5:30, 5:30, 5:22)
4x100m strides
cool down

Our goal 15k pace was about 7:45 min/mile or 5:49/1200m but we went a little fast because the pace felt good.  It was bitterly cold out and my hands were freezing by the end even though I wore gloves.  I am so ready for warmer temperatures...hopefully they will be here soon!

Happy Friday!

How pretty!! We didn't get any snow here (bummer!!) other than a dusting that did not even cover the driveway.

Agreed on the awesome workout! I know I already said this, but I really enjoyed joining you all. Was so nervous I wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys - glad I did!

I am hoping that was the last of the snow, even though April storms are not unheard of.... yuck. I want warmer weather, and SUN!

At first glance, I thought that pic was showing a path shovelled around the track! Ha! Can you imagine??

I am wondering where spring is as well... We got about 3" here this week and the cold has hung around. High for the weekend is around 32. Bleh. I was hoping for the 40s. I am running 9 on Sunday and am hoping the running path where I'll do my run is properly cleared and not icy!

We have had warmer temps for over a week, but still have a foot of snow on the ground! That's how much snow there was to melt! I think the entire continent is ready for spring!!

Great job on the speedwork! Don't you love when you just end up going faster?

Poor you! Luckily around here Spring has finally sprung, and there's not a snowflake inside.

I'm sure Spring will be around your neck of the woods soon! I'll tell it to hurry up.

ugh - that snow is just gross. So ready for the cold to go away. It's almost April for crying out loud! At least we'll all be super grateful once spring finally arrives!
