Ravishing Wednesday!

It is Wednesday! One more day of work for me and then I can rest! Here's whats been going on lately:

  • I took today off from running. The reason I am taking off today besides the fact that the 15k race is fast approaching is because my right knee hurt really, really badly during the run yesterday. It was so weird...the new shoes feel great but I am still having pain and it is no ordinary pain. It comes and goes as I run and hurts on the lower inside part of the knee. I don't think its runner's knee or IT band stuff...so what is it???

  • Today I get my furniture for my apartment! That means I can stop living out of boxes and my suitcase! I can't wait to go home and set everything up and then I can show you photos of my new room!

  • I am reading this great book and its my feature for Literary Wednesday. If you like Dan Brown and his books then you should read The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury. It is such a quick read with short chapters and a story that unravels right before your eyes.

Not much else going on in my life. I get up, go running, go to work, come home and sleep! Enjoy your Wednesday!

uhoh on the knee-- i do know that last year after my half marathon when my knee REALLY bothered my inexplicably, a leg massage cured it. she did a LOT of work on my calves (owch) and quads/hammies. do you have a foam roller?? i would recommend that!!!!

yay- pictures! can't wait :)

I am EXCITED to see your furniture!! I love the feeling of getting settled, hate living out of boxes..

Sorry about your knee pain, I know the feeling and it SUCKS!! Hope you figure out what it is. Make sure you stretch and ice..

Ehh hope the knee feels better!! I have no advice - I have random knee issues and usually just ice it and hope it's not too screwed up. ;)

Have fun with the furniture shopping!

Hmm. Inside of the knee sounds like tendonitis. You might want to check out this website for some hints: http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net. Look at things involving the lateral ligament. Could also be meniscus, but I would doubt that.

Congratulations on getting your life going! I remember my first place once I was "offical" and out of college in a real job. How exciting!

Good luck with the knee! Just rest it up! Maybe ice it a little?...

Take it easy!

wowsers, tell the knee to shape up asap. :( that sucks and I hope it's not anything serious.

thanks for the book recommendation, i just put it on hold at my library, so I'll have to report back. Have you read the new Dan Brown The Lost Symbol? I'm still waiting on the copy from my library, but it's gonna be awhile. :(

The arrival of new furniture is so exciting! However, waiting for it to actually arrive stinks.

Congrats on the furniture. I remember my first apartment with my wife. We were sleeping on the floor for a week before out bed finally arrived. Sadly, we still have that bed. It's time for a new one!

Good luck with the knee. I don't have any suggestions other than to take it easy and ice it.

My husband loved that book and that says a lot from a guy who doesn't read that much.

I hope the knee feels better soon!
