Back to the Track

This weekend proved to be very enjoyable. Besides spending time with friends, I was able to go back to the track!!

I woke up early Sunday morning and headed over to the high school. It was sunny out and almost 50 degrees! I warmed up and then ran 3x400m with 400m jog recovery. The recovery jog proved to be a good idea so that my hips didn't tighten up.

It was GLORIOUS to be running on the track again. I wanted to do more than three 400s but to be on the safe side I restrained my self.

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Tomorrow I have some exciting news (hint: it has to do with the upcoming holiday season)!! Happy Monday!

I really need to do more track workouts next summer. I figured out that I could go to a local track just weeks before they closed it down to the public... so next summer I fully intend to take advantage of it!

You must have been so psyched to go back to the track...there's most likely a certain level of comfort with it...it's like visiting an old friend, no? Haha, congrats on making it back!

Good job restraining yourself, you look so happy. I think I need some time on the track soon before they get covered in snow...

WTG! I'm happy to hear that yu are practicing some self resraint. Soooo many people I read about end up right back on the injured list becuas they aren't willing to be patient.

And I'll admit to you - it was 48 degrees! Yowsers!
