Its cold outside!

I have been a cold weather wimp, a morning runner fake! It has been almost two weeks since I have run outside! Saturday morning, Brian had a haircut appointment and I planned on running to the Barber's but it was really cold out (8F) and I have this nagging cold so I stayed in and rested instead.

I really feel like my mileage is slipping! I was steadily increasing my mileage but since Thanksgiving I have started to decrease again. I have been lacking in desire to get out there and run the mileage. I have become more friendly with the stair climber machine and also the Thursday night spinning class at the gym.

The Thursday night spinning class is taught by this "goddess" and she like never sweats! Last Thursday I met my friend Kaylie at the gym for the class and she worked us HARD! The whole time we are dripping with sweat and dying, she is just continuing along like its nothing! She is really awesome!

Is today reall the first day of winter, the longest day of the year!!? I can't even believe how fast time flies! Have a great week!

My spin instructor doesn't sweat either, maybe it's a spin instructor thing! LOL!

It is so.hard. to get motivated to run outside when it's cold and snowy. I'm trying to get out once a week on an easy day where I'm not concerned about my pace.

I think we had our first day of winter about two weeks ago, haha. WI is always ahead of schedule on the cold weather and behind on the warm.

Yay for winter soltice, bring on more daylight.
Hope your cold gets better soon, and I don't know how these instructors don't sweat?! WTH? In hot yoga, sweat is pouring off me and the instructor is as dry as a bone!

I have been having trouble getting out in the mornings too. But at least we start to gain day light from here on in! Goody!

I hate running outside in the winter too... so I bought super cute winter running clothes and then I went last week pre blizzard and I did a quick 3 miles outside-- after I warmed up it was awesome. If you can make it through the I first 5 mins it is so worth it!

Why don't the instructors sweat. I am always soaked! Enjoy all the cross training.

Agh, cold weather is killing us!! DC got Tons of snow dumped on us over here - and I'm debating my options for tonight. Spin class is sounding goood...now I just need to "join" a gym first ;) haha

I think it's really common for mileage to drop when it gets cold and dark. It's difficult to get out there, but maybe running with a friend, making a date of it, will help with the motivation.

People like your spin class teacher mystify me! I feel like that sometimes when it rains. I go out and get wet right away - even with an umbrella and rain boots. Then I see other women & men who walk around with no umbrella and look perfectly dry! I just don't get it. One of life's mysteries, I suppose.

I agree, it's way too cold to run outside! I wouldn't worry about your mileage slipping, sometimes its good to take a break and switch it up. At least you're doing something!

People who dont sweat are superhuman or part Alien..

FYI this time of year it is good to get creative, so long as you are doing something you are GOOD!!
