3 Reasons to watch Biggest Loser

First off - it is definitely a Monday.  I had no trouble getting out of bed at 4:40am to head to the gym for some cross training.  Once I got to work though, all I wanted to do was go back to bed.  Time for a BIG dose of caffeine - yes that is a 20 ounce coffee!

I started watching Biggest Loser last year.  Since I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon, I guess I haven't completely gotten tired of the show.  I was not impressed with the last season though, especially the women contestants.  They just seemed really whiny and besides Ava, didn't seem to work hard and always had an excuse.  Surprisingly I continued to watch the show and I am actually really enjoying watching the current season. Recording the show and being able to fast forward through the boring parts really helps.

Here are some reasons why I continue to watch the Biggest Loser:

1. Watching people work out makes me feel guilty so I get up off the couch and stretch/foam roll/do my physical therapy exercises while I watch.

2. Watching people lose weight is fun - I love the transformations.

3. Alison Sweeney.  Basically I wish I could dress exactly like her (and probably Brian does too).  I love to watch this show just so I can see what she is wearing.  Last week she had the BEST hair ever.  I even took pictures because I kind of want to have my wedding hair look like hers!

Do you still watch Biggest Loser?  Is it even worth it anymore?

Sunday's Workout:
15 minutes elliptical
20 minutes running (~2.2 miles)
10 minutes stair climber
10 minutes weights
20 minutes yoga

Monday's Workout:
45 minutes elliptical
10 minutes weights

I love Alison Sweeney, too! The first couple of seasons they had Caroline Rhea host it and Ali is WAY better! I haven't watched the past two seasons, though.

I found your blog and had to follow it because I am trying to morph myself into a morning runner...and to do so, the alarm clock goes off at 4:30 AM. OUCH! You're an inspiration. :)

Yep I love the biggest loser. I really like the different personalities.. I loved Ava last year.. she just did her thing. Personally I thought she had the saddest personal story.. then there was Elizabeth.. :\

I also think both Bob and Jillian are hotties. :) This season is a little weird with the "unknowns" but I am still enjoying the show - I record it too and fast forward through probably a good 1/3 of it. I love that!

I stopped watching a few years ago. I dont like the idea of making a game out of people's lives. I think they should take the money and gimmicks out of it.

I come and go with BL. This season it seems to be holding my attention though. There seem to be some pretty motivated people, and I like to see them accomplish what they do!

I totally loved Allison's hair too! She's a good host, although sometimes I'd wish she'd show a little more emotion to the 'losers'.... :)

I think it's Jillian's last season on the show tho... :(

I watched the first couple seasons (they were the best, a lot less product placement then) took a couple seasons off and am watching this season. Like you I record so I can FF through the boring parts. I think it would probably be more popular if they would edit it down to 1 hour, it should not take 30 minutes to weigh in the contestants, that always gets on my nerves that they draw it out.

I've watched a couple episodes here in there in the past, but this is the first time I'm following all season. I agree, you can't help but do SOMETHING while they are working their butts off.

And I love Allison too. I remember thinking the same thing about her hair last week, perfect wedding hair. I wonder if my hubs will let us renew our vows just so I can get dolled up.

I got into this show late too. I've only watched one full season (I think it was 3 seasons ago), but tune in for a little bit almost every week just to see the changes, and the outfits too!

Tell me the secret of getting up at 4:40am on a Monday. I have the hardest time to get up on mondays :(

I watch Biggest Looser too. I enjoy seeing the transformation :)

I loved the biggest loser but recently got sick of it.. im not sure why... maybe its because it takes 2 hours out of my night every week... & because after a comercial, they replay what seems like the last 5 minutes... things like that irritate me! LOL

That is a lovely hairdo!
I always seem to miss when the new season starts. Thanks for the heads up!

I still watch pretty much religiously, although a lot of things bug me (product placements, the dramatic psychology sessions outside the gym - lol, people being disappointed with losing 5 lbs in a week, etc.). I also LOVE Alison's hair & clothes!! And I enjoy watching the butt-busting workouts for some motivation.

Not much of a biggest loser fan because I kinda deal with so much of it in REAL LIFE. But I guess it has it's moments

Ha! I love AS, too. She has such good style and I almost always love her hair!

And, yes, I get guilted into working out just by watching the contestants.

Definitely watching this season. There is a dad/daughter team on there from my little Idaho town. Love it! Plus, Rulon Gardner is from a little Wyoming town about an hour and a half away from us. I remember driving over to welcome him home after the Olympics.
