It's ONLY Wednesday??

The week seems to be dragging by, at least for me since I really didn't get a weekend.  Work has been super demanding and busy lately and I worked both Saturday and Sunday.  I need a vacation.

Yesterday was Interval Tuesday and I completed my run in the morning on the treadmill.  It is just too dark and scary to go to the track alone at 5am.  And there are no decently flat areas near me that would allow for interval running.  So I am stuck with the treadmill unless I decide I can handle switching up my workout to the afternoons.

Tuesdays workout -

4x400m at 6:22 pace, 2x800m at 6:40 pace, 4x400m at 6:27 pace

That was such a tough workout!  I started off with a decent warm up and once I began the intervals I focused on maintaining the pace but had to slow down for the last set of 400s.  My stomach started feeling funny after the second 800 and continued to hate me until I stopped running.

Yes - I do seem to love the treadmill more than the average person BUT I do love to run outside more.  Its just that I have gotten so used to running my intervals inside.  Believe me, if I wasn't switching up the paces every few minutes I would never make it through the whole workout! I have trouble just running 3 miles straight on the treadmill!

So today I am going to take advantage of the sun and run outdoors after work!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!  Hope you wore green today!!

** Need a good book to read??  I am currently reading The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs and I love it! And I would have finished it already if I wasn't being forced to be a workaholic!

I hear ya girly! Is this week EVER going to end?!?!? Only Wednesday? Really?!?!? Seriously?!?!?

Good call keeping it safe and inside for the intervals.

Finally finished Memoirs of Cleopatra, such a great book. Working on a sequel to a book I read last summer, stay tuned for a review at the end of the month review!

Great workout!

I LOVE my treadmill. Especially for intervals. It forces me to hold the pace. But nothing beats an outside run!

I had the same feeling when I woke up this morning, only Wednesday!?
I read Friday Night Knitting Club earlier this year, great book!!
Happy St. Patty's day!

I'm right there with you on "only Wednesday" - ugh. Hope you get the weekend off this time around!

Nice job on the intervals - don't blame you for keeping it on the treadmill. I need to find a track nearby... I want to do some shorter intervals and anything under 800 is just too hard to keep track of on the sidewalk. I'd be staring at my Garmin constantly and would wipe out for sure!

LOVE the Knitting Club books!!

I hope you get a real weekend this week! :)

Great work on the intervals! I wonder if I will ever be as speedy as you. Ha ha. I wish!

I also think the treadmill is good for intervals. I tried to do them outside last night.

Thanks for your comment yesterday. No need to apologize! I know how life can be. Plus, being busy (and hopefully productive) is better than the alternative.

I loved that book!! It's way cute :)

Intervals on the treadmill are def safer than on the track in the dark! Way to push through it :)
